Kalachakra Sand Mandala Webcast Archives

Kalachakra painting, thank you to our friend, thangka painter, Carmen Mensink.

We will endeavor to post additional links to our recorded webcasts over these past weeks, along with additional images in our photo gallery, and perhaps other reflections, in the days and weeks ahead.

For now however, may it suffice to express our deepest gratitude to all whose kind wishes over these past four weeks  contributed toward making this blessed event a treasure of such shared and profound beauty.  May all beings thereby benefit and find peace.

Recorded below is the dismantling ceremony of the Kalachakra sand mandala, created for and dedicated to the City of Philadelphia, and to to our beautiful planet and all beings; an offering of and for peace by the Venerable Losang Samten. The dismantling ceremony commenced at approximately noon on Sunday, November 22, 2009.  The dismantling was followed by a joyous procession to the Schuylkill River, about a mile away, where the grains of sand that minutes earlier comprised the blessed and colorful mandala, were poured into the river, the final act of offering and dedication of the sacred ritual begun nearly four weeks earlier.

Thank you all.
