A few - well, maybe more than a few - images of the many remarkable people, and moments, at our center this year. Thank you.

A most incredible evening at our center, shared with our extraordinary Tibetan community. Opening prayers, Chenrezig mantra meditation, a segment led by Lama Losang where people read aloud each of the Buddha's Twelve Activities during his lifetime, 12 people each reading one in English, and 12 people each reading one in Tibetan. Plenty of savory dishes (not pictured - the lines were too long for the photographer to get through!), Homage to Twenty One Tara's, community singing (Amazing Grace, English and then Tibetan syllables to Tara's Homage) and "This Land is Pure Land," with thanks and apologies to Woody Guthrie, dedication prayers, and ... peacefulness and gratitude among all present. Excerpts on our Multi Media page. Thanks to all who helped make this such a great evening! images|tb2012

A very, very warm evening, and, in the year of our 20th anniversary, a very "suddenly appearing" visit from the monks of Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, India, and Venerable Thubten Choepel, Vajra Master of the Monastery. Namgyal is the personal monastery of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, and Losang Rinpoche's home for most of his life before traveling to the U.S. in 1988, and forming our center in 1991. Ven. Cheophel is one of Losang-La's main teachers. The monks led us in a deeply moving Green Tara Puja, and Long Life Prayer for His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama. Losang-La served as the Chant Master for the practice.
A visit to Philadelphia from monks from Drepung Gomang Monastery for a Medicine Buddha healing puja at St. Stephen's Church on March 26, and on Sunday morning, March 27, a beautiful practice and talk at the TBC by Geshe-la from the monastery, on the Four Noble Truths.
Capping off a beautiful, full day celebration with members of our local Philadelphia Tibetan community.
A few images from the New York City reunion of Lama Losang's students and friends in the 1980's, his first years in the U.S., and celebrating the New York Release of Losang-la's book, Ancient Teachings in Modern Times, Buddhism in the 21st Century.
