The Six Perfections in our Daily Life

Date:
12:00pm - 1:30pm

First Sunday Every Month at 12pm with Tony Boris and Elazar Aslan.

Even in the Refuge Prayer itself, the Six Perfections (Paramitas) - Generosity, Ethics, Patience, Joyous Effort, Concentration and Wisdom - are said to be keys to our enlightenment, so there must be something to them! In this workshop we'll focus on one paramita each month, using both traditional buddhist texts, as well as other readings to stimulate discussions on what the texts mean and how the paramita applies in our daily lives.  The core of the workshop is to identify how and then set the intention to focus on that paramita in the 'real world'.  We will then have a bi-weekly call to connect with and support each other in our efforts to fully practice and perfect the paramitas.

This is event is open to all.
