TBC 'Discovering Buddhism' Practice/Study Group - New Module!
TBC 'Discovering Buddhism' Practice/Study Group. It's time for the next study module! In May, our TBC Practice/Study Group, utilizing materials created by the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), begins a new module of study called "Presenting the Path", focusing on the Lam-Rim path to enlightenment. This four month module will study its origin in the teachings of Guru Shakyamuni Buddha, the three scopes, understanding where you are in your spiritual development, and, what you need to do next! This module will also introduce related meditations to be practiced at home. Participants meet by telephone conference every other week to discuss the readings, our practice experience & any questions. Added bonus: once each month the group also participates in a Q&A session with Losang by phone or in person. You can learn all about the "Discovering Buddhism" program right on the FPMT website. Also note these need not be completed in order, so participants can join or audit the group at any time. For conference call information & a calendar of our telephone and in-person meetups, just drop an email to Susan Simmons or speak with TBC member Dan Spicer.
