PRAYERS FOR PEACE
September 21
2p-8p
Attention peace-loving Philadelphians! Join us on September 21 from 2:00-8:00 pm to send forth prayers for peace in honor of the U.N. International Day of Peace. As part of Peace Day Philly, The Chenrezig Tibetan Buddhist Center of Philadelphia invites you to join us by giving and receiving blessings that create the conditions for peace for our beloved City and the world.
Prayers for Peace is divided into one-hour segments each dedicated to a state of mind that supports key aspects of a peaceful and inclusive community: safety, overcoming obstacles, compassion, wish-fulfillment, healing and purification. The prayers will be recited through Buddhist mantras. Dedications may be requested for specific people or causes that promote peace and will be named during the prayer segment. All are welcome to join any or all of the entire six-hour program.
