It is a powerful decision — to be present to life.

What is Mindfulness Meditation?

Mindfulness is our natural ability to bring a relaxed, clear attention to the present

moment. Mindfulness meditation strengthens this natural ability, enabling us to connect

more fully with life more of the time.

As “simple” as the practice may sound, this shift in how we relate with life, to being more

present to our life, opens us to profound possibilities: physical ease, mental clarity, relief

from anxiety and stress, and a greater sense of purpose, connection, and direction.

Mindfulness as a practice is easily accessible by anyone. However, learning from an

experienced teacher provides the opportunity for quality feedback and guidance when

“roadblocks” or “setbacks” in practice occur, as well as key insights that can help a practice

flourish.

About this course:

Introduction to Meditation is a four-week series conducted on consecutive Saturdays. To

gain the maximum benefit from this course, students are strongly encouraged to attend

all four sessions as the course material is cumulative across all four weeks.

Course objectives include:

• Understanding mindfulness and how it works

• Guided meditation practice sessions

• Discussion with opportunities to share personal experiences

• Progressive mindfulness techniques to deepen your understanding and experience

• Mindfulness meditations for practice in between sessions

All are welcome!

This course is excellent for those new to meditation, as well as

experienced meditators who wish to strengthen their practice and deepen their

understanding of mindfulness meditation.
