About the Event

CTBC Dharma-In-Action together with Peace Day Philly will hold our sixth annual Prayers for Peace Mantra-thon on Saturday, September 16 from 12:00 noon - 8:00 pm ET in-person at CTBC and via Zoom.

This event is part of a series of activities in support of the United Nations International Day of Peace which is observed around the world on September 21.

The Prayers For Peace Mantra-thon is divided into ten, 45- minute segments. Each segment is devoted to a specific Buddhist mantra and dedicated to a state of mind that supports happiness, peace, and inclusion for all living beings. Volunteers will choose to guide a segment either in-person at the CTBC center, or online via Zoom. Each segment will be facilitated by a CTBC host who will support you, as the volunteer mantra guide, throughout your segment.
