Please join us as CTBC honors our dear friends in the Philadelphia Tibetan Community and worldwide to pay tribute to all those who have sacrificed their lives for Tibet’s struggle for independence. 10am at City Hall, then heading to Liberty Bell Center, Independence Plaza West at 12pm.

*** CHANGE IN SCHEDULE *** Tibetan Uprising Day 2023 Friday March 10, Center City Philadelphia 10:00 am, City Hall, Broad & Market Streets 12:00 pm, Liberty Bell Center, Independence Mall West

March 10 will be the 64th anniversary of the 1959 Tibetan peaceful uprising against China’s repression in the Tibetan capital of Lhasa.  The failure of the armed rebellion ultimately resulted in a violent crackdown on Tibetan independence movements, forcing His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to flee into exile in order to save his life. Please join us as CTBC honors our dear friends in the Philadelphia Tibetan Community and worldwide to pay tribute to all those who have sacrificed their lives for Tibet’s struggle for independence.  CHANGE IN SCHEDULE!  We will join the Tibetan Community and supporters at 10:00 am at City Hall, Broad and Market Streets for a peaceful gathering and prayers to commemorate this important day.  The group will then proceed to…
