Since many of you are now following from your home, we wanted to start sending prayer book page numbers ahead of time so you are ready to follow along come Sunday morning!

January 31 Specific Information:

The words of the Buddha on the practice of loving-kindness:

“Monks, whatever grounds there are for making merit productive of a future birth, all these do not equal one sixteenth of the liberation of the mind by loving-kindness.  The liberation of mind by loving-kindness surpasses them and shines forth, bright and brilliant.”    It 27; 19-20 Translated by Bhikkhu Bodhi.

Please join Bill Stauffer and Sue Passante as hosts of Sunday Sangha on loving-kindness.  Bill will lead this special gathering with a Dharma discussion on loving-kindness as the First Immeasurable, the eleven benefits of loving-kindness and the story of how the Buddha stopped an attempted murder through the power of his love.  Sue will lead an extended meditation on loving-kindness.  We hope you can join Bill and Sue to send out many special prayers of loving-kindness to all beings.
